Description

The Palazzina di Porta Bava in Turin is located on Corso Vittorio no. 44 in Turin and was commissioned by the Rossi family, industrialists of Martini & Rossi liqueurs (who, in 1911, were awarded the title of Counts of Montelera by King Vittorio Emanuele III of Savoy), to the architect Camillo Riccio, to be destined as the Turin headquarters of the liqueur company, which was in great expansion at that time due to the success of the vermouth invented in the city. The building has great historical-artistic value and is an example of a neoclassical palace, originally suburban with a garden, typical of the expansion of the Viale del Re. From the portico, one can glimpse the Palazzina Porta-Bava on which the architect Gaetano Lombardi and the engineer Alessandro Antonelli had worked in 1825.
